Accessibility statement
Updated 21 October 2026
This statement covers PrepTalk, a practice app from Tampere University. We want everyone to be able to use PrepTalk: with a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom, or on a phone.
How accessible PrepTalk is
PrepTalk partially meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. On 21 October 2026 it was evaluated with the NVDA screen reader in Chrome. A whole practice conversation can be completed with a screen reader, but some parts take extra effort.
Known limitations
- Confirmations for Clear my data and for leaving a conversation don't move focus to the warning. With a screen reader, read the text before the Yes button before you confirm.
- Forms and headings: some error messages and required fields aren't announced with their field, and three screens have no main (level 1) heading.
- Voice input works only in Chrome and Edge. You can always type instead.
- Zoom on phones: pinch-to-zoom uses PrepTalk's own zoom, up to 200%, instead of the browser's. On computers, browser zoom works as usual.
- AI-generated text can sometimes be long or unclear. Use Easier to read under a message to get it in simpler words.
